What AKNB Global is
AKNB Global is an online store built for customers across the Gulf. We sell home and kitchen goods, decor, storage, lighting, beauty and personal care, fashion accessories, technology, fitness gear and travel equipment, and we ship to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.
We are a small independent retailer rather than a large marketplace, and that shapes how we operate.
How we work
We source products from international suppliers and have them shipped directly to you. We do not hold a warehouse of stock in every country, and we do not pretend to. That model has one clear advantage and one clear cost, and we would rather you understood both before you buy from us.
The advantage is range and price. Because we are not paying to store inventory locally, we can offer a much wider catalogue than a shop of our size otherwise could, and we can price competitively.
The cost is time. Your order travels a long way to reach you, and that means delivery takes longer than a same-day local marketplace. If you need something tomorrow, we are honestly not the right choice, and we would rather say so than take an order that will disappoint you.
What we try to be good at
There are a great many online stores selling similar goods. Most compete on price alone. We are trying to compete on being straightforward, which sounds unremarkable until you have had a bad experience with an online order and discovered that nobody will answer your messages.
In practice that means a few things. We describe delivery times honestly, including the slow parts. We explain customs charges before you order rather than after your parcel is held. When something goes wrong, we would rather resolve it quickly than argue about whose fault it was. And we do not claim things about our service that we cannot actually deliver.
What we do not do
We do not run countdown timers pretending a sale ends in ten minutes. We do not invent original prices to make a discount look larger. We do not publish fake reviews, and we do not remove genuine critical ones. We do not add customers to our mailing list without being asked.
These are low standards to meet, and it should not be worth mentioning that we meet them. In online retail it unfortunately still is.
Our range
Our catalogue is organised into eleven departments, each with its own sections, so you can narrow down quickly rather than scrolling through thousands of unrelated items. We add products steadily rather than importing supplier catalogues wholesale, because a store filled with items nobody has assessed is not more useful to you, it is just larger.
Payments and security
Payments are handled by Cashfree. We never see or store your card details, which means the most sensitive information involved in your purchase never touches our systems. The site runs over an encrypted connection throughout.
Where we are going
We launched serving the GCC, and that is our focus. As the business grows we intend to widen the range, improve delivery times, and expand into additional markets. We would rather do that gradually and keep the experience consistent than expand quickly and lose control of it.
